More on Established Belief Systems

In my last blog I wrote that, "Everything has a Belief System." In it I discussed some of the primary Belief Systems that we "educated" people have been indoctrinated/programmed with.

In a prior blog, I also stated that what we normally think of as "thinking," is actually stirring around and rearranging our indoctrinated/programmed beliefs.

Very few individuals do original, what I consider to be, creative thinking. Professor Ron Paul, who developed the Critical Thinking movement through his Department at Sonoma State College in California, whom I mentioned in a previous blog, is a case in point. As I wrote previously, after attending a couple of his basic classes as well as a couple of advanced discussion groups, it became clear to me that the Belief Systems underlying his Critical Thinking were essentially, Darwinian, Piaget, and Gurdgieffian Philosophy Belief systems. I am sure there were others which would have come to light, if I had stayed longer.

During one of the discussion groups which I participated in, I stated that "no one can begin to think clearly, unless they know what they believe." As everyone in the group looked to Professor Paul as the authority, they all looked to him for a response. His response was that he didn't think it was necessary to know what one believes in order to do so, i.e., he didn't agree.

To me this was shocking, as I considered it then, and still do, a simple, basic tenet for clear thinking; one I have been writing about in this blog. When we consider our beliefs to be Facts, i.e., building blocks on which we construct what we think is a new way of thinking, as he has, we don't have a chance of a you know what in you know where of achieving our end goal.

As I stated in my previous blog, the underpinnings of what is accepted science today, is a murky, muddy, swamp; information/beliefs which have to be examined, before accepting the edifices which grew up upon this swamp, and have come to be is considered basic facts of existence.

I remember back in the '60's or '70's seeing newspaper headlines declaring that the Darwinian evolutionary theory was dead and all but buried. It is, however, today a member of the walking dead, defended by one and all established sciences, it seems. If people are allowed to think that Darwinian Theory is flawed at it's core; this will also shake the foundations of all the other basic scientific belief Systems, that is why it is to be "defended to the death."

Currently, anyone who dares to bring up these same problems with Darwinian theory today, as they were around 40 or 50 years(!) ago, that individual is accused of being a closet religious Creationist, trying to pass themselves off as scientists. This is far from the case. It is all part of the process of keeping us asleep and programmed.

Gregor Mendel's research in genetics has been revealed to have been, essentially, a fiction he created. As I understand it, the entire British education system was developed based upon his work.

People have not been told, for example, that archaeological finds in this and other countries have been destroyed or hidden, (How about putting military bases where they are located; great idea huh? In the historical past Catholic Churches were built upon the sites.) as well as many of those of the past, because they call into question what everyone has been taught about human history. Mustn't allow that!

Many "Professional" archaeologists, throughout the young history of this "science," have debunked the archaeological findings of other archaeologists, because such findings upset the accepted information put out as absolute fact. This technique has a long history; the church debunking the newly arising scientist, (not infrequently putting them to death) then the established scientists debunking and ostracizing the newly appearing scientists, with different theories. Currently, those with "unacceptable" ideas are refused research grants and not allowed to publish their findings in Journals, and around and around she goes.

Professional debunkers are called in to assist in the killing off of anything that calls prior "facts" into question. Also, "respected" authorities are bought off, blackmailed, or the lives of people they care about are threatened, to coerced them into joining the debunkers.

What does this have to do with taking responsibility for yourself? If you want to take off the shackles of the establishment's programming, you must take responsibility for educating yourself and questioning authority in all things. Making all FACTS, "facts?" in your mind is a first step in doing so.

This is the end of today's blog.
