In my last post, I discussed various aspects of what I call our, "Awareness System"--our senses. According to the accepted science concerning the human body, we humans have five senses: sight, smell, taste, hearing, and feeling. "Folk" wisdom acknowledges a, "sixth" sense which covers a, "knowingness," awareness' and other feelings that do not, and cannot, have the accepted five senses as a source. By, "non-senses" I refer to what can be called the, "fringes" of our acknowledged senses, as well as what has been called the "sixth sense."
Back when I was growing up, many parents frequently responded to reports of experiences not traceable to the physical world as, "nonsense," spoken with authority, and brooking no argument, ("brooking," such a nice, now old-fashioned, word). Thus were we conditioned to not trust our senses and awareness' by even the most loving of parents.
Other parents were frequently much more harsh in their rejection of the possibility of such experiences. For this the instilled fear of madness can probably be blamed. However, the results were usually the same, to suppress the awareness' and make them stop happening, or to, at least, stop talking about them. Through this conditioning children were taught, as indicated, to not trust their own ability to determine what was, or was not, "real," but, instead to rely on what the adults told them was real.
In actuality, the main function of the acknowledged five senses is to experience, primarily, the non-physical aspects of reality.
While unacknowledged by Science human, "extra-sensory" awareness' are not just the product of a sixth sense, they exist on the fringe of our other five physical senses as well. For example, on the fringe of our physical sense of sight are some humans' ability to see the human aura. Additionally, many humans have experienced, "seeing" people who are no longer among the living--ghosts--as well as other, "non-physical" beings and entities.
If someone is pressed to explain sight, you will probably get a description of the physical eye. Actually, as much as official Science chooses to ignore the fact, there are many aspects of sight/seeing, that cannot be explained. A basic problem is explaining how humans are able to translate what is taken in by our eyes into images. (Just where is that screen located, anyway?) In my opinion, these so-called, "scientists" just like to pretend that they understand the ability to see! Over the years many other aspects of human sight have been discovered which, while describable, are hard to explain rationally.
The sense of smell is another mystery to official Science. In fact, the ability to smell scents presents similar mysteries as our ability to see. Pheromones, their production and affects is one example. Additionally, our sense of smell enables us to recall long-forgotten memories when our nose catches, perhaps, just a few molecules of scent wafting on the breeze. (One definition of a, "molecule" is given, by Dictionary.com, as, "any very small particle,"--a molecule otherwise being defined by the presence of an atom, or bit of an atom.)
Our sense of hearing, gives, "science" other problems. Supposedly, how we hear has been clearly explained by the make-up of our ears themselves, but how we are able to perceive sounds is another thing altogether, conveniently ignored. An example of hearing on the fringe, are the voices and/or sounds, which have no physical source. This is considered by the psychiatric community, per se, as evidence of a psychiatric disturbance; as a result few individuals will admit to "hearing voices," or other mysterious sounds which have no known physical source.
Our sense of taste, is explained by a description of how the tongue's receptors called, "taste buds" which we are told can only detect sweet, sour, bitter, and salty flavors. How we are able to discern every nuance of each, and any combination of these flavors has never been explained. We have, also, been told that our sense of smell plays a major role in how we do, or do not, taste food. All very non-physical, in any case.
Our sense of touch is brought to us by the largest organ of our body--our skin. An examination of a picture of the Nerve System can only impress upon one the remarkable nature of this sensory system. It is undeniably remarkable, but, it also has the non-physical problem for scientists.
The Brain is considered part of the nervous system; it is the Brain which, we are taught, enables us to experience all that we take in with our five senses. However, we are, also, told explicitly that the brain is only physical. If the brain is only physical, how is it capable of translating all the above indicated non-physical input in such a way as to be perceivable?
The above is only a small beginning to understanding the potential of the human non-physical sensory Awareness System. Why is the acknowledgement of our non-physical sense awareness' important? In actuality, what is important is our conditioned denial and loss of them brought about by the denial of them by the arbitrators of what is reality, the Scientists!
The denial of any aspect of the non-physical nature of the totality of, not only humans, but reality itself, on the part of the Consensus Scientific Belief System has caused an untold stunting of the entire potential of not only humanity, but civilization as a whole!
With that, I end today's blog.
